General Information
AESD is a non-profit making foundation founded in 2009 and registered in 2012, registration number 8602. Professional entrepreneurs in economic and social development working with marginalized groups of the country especially with women and youth. We work to strengthen the capacities of civil society, private sector and non governmental organization to work together for responsive democratic governance and social and economic development. AESD has a well harmonized staff each with years of experience working in development providing training, technical assistance and grants designed to strengthen democratic values, institutions and processes and promote democratic governance, economic and social development. AESD programs include civil society capacity building, advocacy; public transparency and accountability, community mobilization and development, local governance, human rights, local economic development, and small and medium enterprises development. Our objective is to fight against poverty and to support the social and economic development of developing countries and human rights. Through its activities, AESD is promoting long term development and creating sustainability in its programs core activities.
Mission and Objectives

• Reorganization of local population to create a better understanding and awareness of their rights, to have a voice, and to achieve the objectives defined within the projects.
• Training and capacity building to individuals and local NGOs offering opportunity to acquire new skills, work opportunities and financial means.
• Promoting entrepreneurship attitude through creating awareness of the importance of entrepreneurship, training and setting up suitable credit plans aimed at promoting long term economic and development initiatives.
• Working hand in hand with local artisans to preserve cultural heritage of ethnic groups trying to understand the difficulties that they may face and push them to think and work out of the box, be out of the traditional aspects that may limit their productivity.
